Zakriya Asif Paracha

Software Engineer

I'm a Software Engineer at Motive, building backend systems and APIs. I also have a Computer Engineering background and a continued interest in embedded systems and hardware, the curiosity that got me into engineering in the first place.

A software engineer, curious about the hardware underneath

I'm a Software Engineer at Motive with a Computer Engineering background (BE, NUST–CEME, 2024) and hands-on experience across embedded systems, FPGA development, and robotics. That curiosity goes back to childhood tinkering with electronics, and it's shaped years of projects spanning FPGA logic design up through backend web services.

My focus today is backend and software systems, building on a Computer Engineering background that still shapes how I approach problems. Embedded systems, IoT, and computer architecture remain a strong personal interest alongside that.

A few things I've built

Embedded / Hardware

Tic-Tac-Toe with Minimax on FPGA

Single-player game implemented entirely on FPGA, displayed via VGA, with alpha-beta pruning to shrink the search tree.

Final Year Project

Multi-Hop Robotic Warehouse Network

A fleet of ESP8266-based robots with region-segmented routing to eliminate collisions, plus a Python backend and Angular control dashboard.

Embedded / Hardware

MQTT-Based IoT Device Network

NodeMCU and Raspberry Pi devices controlled through a custom Android app, communicating over MQTT.
